About Us
Our Story
Thymeout Care & Support Services P/L (Thymeout) is based in Warragul, West Gippsland and was created with much commitment and dedication after two decades of lived experience with, and parenting, my two amazing sons. My family has a strong connection with the local area having lived here for over four generations and having worked within varying roles in the community and supporting other families with challenges in their everyday lives.
Our Story continued…
With the tremendous love and support of my extended family and friends, and amazing network of professionals, I felt even more empowered as the years progressed. I directly employed dedicated friends to create my eldest son’s journey with a ‘Circle of Support’ which was soon followed by his much-anticipated transition to the NDIS in 2017. The NDIS funding continues to provide invaluable supports and resources for my eldest son and encouraged me even further to set positive goals for success and reminds us every day to aim for the stars - and we haven’t looked back!
Within weeks, friends were approaching me personally and asking if we could assist them in their own personal NDIS journey and, with much excitement, the company Thymeout was born. I strongly believe there are many wonderful opportunities that Thymeout can offer our clients and their families through my own personal experiences and contacts in the wider community.
The Thymeout Team has administration staff with a wealth of experience in the disability sector together with a dedicated team of Support Workers who provide 1:1 individual support to many families throughout Gippsland. The Thymeout service model differs from most in that it aims to personalise the care and supports we provide by matching our client with a Support Worker giving careful consideration to their shared interests and personalities prior to their first meeting.
Some of these supports we provide include 1:1 social and community participation, personal care, domestic support and supported trips away – in the home and out in the community … and beyond.
We are very proud of our Thymeout Team and we celebrate the milestones as our clients work towards their individual goals and choose to live their life as autonomously as possible where they continue to feel safe, happy and healthy.
